About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee ordering, receiving, sales, inventory, cash control, and security for the snack bar
- Lead, assist, and direct student employees to ensure efficient and courteous service
- Maintain food quality, proper portioning, and consistent safety and sanitation procedures
- Operate light powered equipment as needed
Requirements
- Possession of a food handler's permit (or ability to obtain one within 14 days of employment)
- Two years of experience in food service work
- One year of experience in a lead role
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Two to five years of retail experience
- Experience leading and training employees
- Knowledge of cash handling and bank card procedures
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices, policies, and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality customer service and work collaboratively
- Experience in planning, prioritizing, and assigning tasks
- Strong oral and written communication skills
