About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate SMT assembly equipment including placement machines, reflow ovens, solder printers, and conformal coating machines
- Program, load, operate, and troubleshoot automated equipment
- Use light tools such as crimpers, presses, soldering irons, and custom tooling
- Follow work instructions and document work through MES system
- Inspect assemblies for defects and document non-conformances
- Perform functional testing of components and assemblies
- Provide process improvement feedback to engineering and production leadership
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a hands-on manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and follow work instructions
- Proficiency with hand tools including torque wrenches
- Experience with crimping, wire stripping, and continuity testing
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- Hand soldering ability and PCB rework experience
- Ability to read and redline electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Experience with test and measuring tools like digital multimeters and oscilloscopes
- Experience with various potting and epoxies
