About the role
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain SMT equipment including screen printers, glue machines, reflow ovens, and placement machines
- Interface with complex machine hardware and software
- Identify and report defective components
- Inspect work to ensure accuracy, integrity, and adherence to workmanship standards
- Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate data logs
- Maintain cleanliness of the work area and ensure accuracy of work-in-process
- Participate in quality teams as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated electronics or mechanical ability
- Basic computer skills
- US Person status (as defined in 22 CFR Part 120.15 for ITAR compliance)
- Ability to work 1st shift (Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm)
- Must be local to the Melbourne, FL area
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in machine or equipment operation
- Knowledge of component identification, nomenclature, and handling (including ESD requirements)
- Knowledge of ISO9001 standards
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, if necessary
