SME - Tech/Operator II (AH-64D/E) (15Y)

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the design, development, and testing of AH-64D/E Apache Helicopter training solutions and simulators.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to develop desktop software, virtual/augmented reality simulators, and training devices.
• Provide technical guidance to production and manufacturing technicians during all development and implementation phases.
• Develop testing documentation, device user manuals, and operator manuals.
• Support production by troubleshooting systems, determining component replacements, and ensuring hardware and software integration.
• Develop training curriculum and instructional products for presentation to customers.
• Participate in training conferences, In-Process Reviews (IPRs), and device testing/delivery events.
• Perform Contractor Final Inspections (CFI) at customer sites to ensure proper device reassembly and functionality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 8 years of direct experience in the maintenance or operation of AH-64D/E Apache Helicopter systems and subsystems.
• Proven experience serving as a 15Y or 15R.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software tools.
• Ability to read, navigate, and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% for data capture, testing, and delivery.

Preferred Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved Military Instructor Training Program.
