SME-TECH/OPERATOR I (AH-64D/E) (15Y)

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design, develop, and test training solutions for AH-64D/E Apache Helicopter systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to develop desktop software, VR/AR simulators, and training devices.
• Provide technical guidance to manufacturing technicians during all phases of development and implementation.
• Develop training curriculum, courseware, and instructional products for customer presentation.
• Assist in developing testing documentation, device user manuals, and operator manuals.
• Support production by troubleshooting systems, identifying COTS component replacements, and ensuring proper hardware/software integration.
• Perform Contractor Preliminary Inspections (CPI) and Contractor Final Inspections (CFI) at customer sites.
• Travel up to 25% to support data capture, device testing, and delivery.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 6 years of experience in AH-64D/E Apache maintenance or operation.
• Direct experience serving as a 15Y or 15R.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software tools.
• Ability to read, navigate, and interpret technical manuals and engineering drawings.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Successful completion of an approved Military Instructor Training Program.
