About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enterprise-level cybersecurity strategies aligned with DoD and Federal security guidelines.
- Support timely completion of Authorization to Operate (ATO) activities across IL 3 through IL 6 environments.
- Collaborate with engineering and mission teams to align cybersecurity design decisions with system scope and performance needs.
- Prepare, maintain, and execute a System Engineering Plan (SEP) for managing all systems architecture and engineering aspects.
- Define, document, and maintain APIs and technical standards for system interoperability.
- Design, engineer, and continuously improve the underlying infrastructure and user interface components.
- Perform site reliability engineering to build and maintain a reliable, scalable, and efficient system.
- Participate in the Engineering Control Board (ECB) process to support major engineering milestones.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline.
- 12–15 years of relevant experience (or 10–13 years with a Master's degree).
- DoD 8570/8140 certification appropriate for Advanced Cyber Defense Analyst roles (e.g., GCFA or GCIA).
- Proven track record supporting ATO activities across IL 3 through IL 6 environments.
- Proficiency in defining and maintaining APIs and technical standards.
- Experience with cloud environments, network, data storage, logging, and auditing functions.
Preferred Qualifications
- CISSP, CCSP, CASP+, or equivalent advanced cybersecurity certification.
- Experience defining enterprise security reference architectures for multi-enclave environments.
- Experience architecting automated compliance and continuous monitoring solutions.
- Experience integrating SIEM/SOAR and advanced cyber defense analytics into enterprise platforms.
- Experience supporting enterprise data, analytics, or AI platforms in secure environments.
