SmartCOMM Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using SmartCOMM modules, specifically Advanced Template Designer (ATD) and Data Modeler.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Develop clean, maintainable, and scalable code following industry best practices.
• Create and implement test plans to validate application functionality and performance.
• Maintain detailed technical documentation and contribute to project estimation and effort forecasting.
• Oversee software deployment across non-production and production environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine requirements and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience working with the SmartCOMM (Thunderhead) platform.
• Expertise in Advanced Template Designer (Business Content Studio, Admin) and Data Modeler (Business Object Studio).
• Strong understanding of SmartCOMM APIs, XML schema creation, and data object mapping.
• Experience configuring and deploying SmartCOMM applications in Cloud or Hybrid environments.
• Proficiency in designing multi-channel communications, including Print, Web/HTML, Email, SMS, and Fax.
• Ability to create both Static Layouts for Print and Responsive Layouts for Web.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience integrating SmartCOMM with Guidewire or other upstream enterprise systems.
• Prior experience working within an Agile/Scrum development environment.
• Exposure to integration with various cloud platforms and large-scale enterprise ecosystems.
