Smart Metering Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site audits to evaluate infrastructure and feasibility for meter installations (mechanical, electrical, and civil) in complex or retrofit environments.
• Analyze technical documentation including PFD, P&ID, and SLD to identify optimal measurement technologies and installation points.
• Recommend comprehensive metering solutions, including meter types, precision classes, communication protocols, and compliance with installation constraints.
• Provide technical support to OEMs and installers during the procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Participate in technical validation and monitoring of integrators, including cost estimation and supplier quotes.

Requirements

• Master's degree (Bac+5) in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, or Control-Command engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial metering (electricity, gas, steam, water, etc.).
• Proven ability to read and interpret P&ID, PFD, SLD, isometric, and installation plans.
• Strong knowledge of international standards, specifically ATEX and CSA.
• Experience with the selection and installation of equipment in hazardous areas.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within pharmaceutical or process manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing multi-site or international projects.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
