About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient exams and medical work-ups
  • Provide high-quality surgical care and manage patient cases from intake to discharge
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide education and build rapport
  • Maintain accurate medical records and follow controlled substance protocols
  • Collaborate with the Hospital Manager on weekly priorities and hospital protocols
  • Participate in daily rounds and practice management training

Requirements

  • DVM or VMD degree from an accredited college or university
  • 1-year rotational internship in small animal medicine, surgery, or ER
  • Completion of a 3-year, AVMA-approved residency program
  • Current State Veterinary License
  • Valid DEA registration
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform moderately physically demanding work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certification
  • 2-5 years of post-residency experience
  • Strong diagnostic, clinical, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a professional, team-oriented environment
