Slitter Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain slitting machines to process materials according to specifications
• Set up equipment, including blade adjustments, tension control, and material alignment
• Perform regular quality control checks and make necessary adjustments to maintain standards
• Safely handle and move materials using forklifts, hoists, or hand tools
• Conduct routine blade changes, sharpening, and preventive maintenance tasks
• Monitor production runs and maintain accurate records of production counts and downtime
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain machine cleanliness and housekeeping

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Forklift operator's license (training provided)
• Prior manufacturing or skilled machine operation experience preferred
• Ability to use basic tools and inspection devices such as calipers, tape measures, and utility knives
