Slitter Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate slitting machines following standard operating procedures to cut and process materials accurately and efficiently
• Set up slitting machines, including blade adjustments, tension control, and material alignment
• Perform regular quality control checks to ensure products meet established standards and specifications
• Safely handle and move materials using equipment such as forklifts, hoists, or hand tools
• Perform routine blade changes, sharpening, and adjustments
• Monitor production runs and identify and resolve issues affecting product quality or machine performance
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, including counts, downtime, and quality issues
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance tasks on slitting machines
• Maintain machine cleanliness and housekeeping in the area

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to use basic tools and inspection devices such as utility knives, calipers, and tape measure
• Prior manufacturing experience preferred
• Prior skilled machine operation experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift operator’s license (training provided)
