Skills Instructor

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support for interns during rotations to acquire marketable skills
• Perform task analysis and develop accommodations or assistive technology needs
• Communicate effectively with instructors, families, and employer mentors
• Assist with Vocational Fit Assessments to match interns with appropriate tasks
• Train students in grooming, hygiene, communication, and interviewing skills
• Provide travel training to host businesses and job sites when necessary
• Implement job coaching plans and use positive reinforcement techniques
• Adhere to host business standards regarding productivity and quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• OR Associate's degree plus 3 years of experience
• OR High School diploma plus 6 years of experience
• Experience with youth and adults with disabilities is preferred
