About the role

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, maintain, inspect, modify, and repair plant automation and control systems
  • Program, configure, update, and debug PLC and HMI software and operating parameters
  • Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, mechanical, and automation issues to identify root causes
  • Diagnose and resolve system alarms, faults, jams, and connectivity issues
  • Calibrate plant instrumentation including pressure, temperature, level, flow, and pH instruments
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and maintain accurate CMMS records
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and vendors to support automation projects
  • Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance mechanics and production supervisors
  • Follow all safety standards, including Lockout/Tagout, NEC, and NFPA 70E

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate degree in Industrial Controls Technology or related field, or 3–5 years of instrumentation/automation experience
  • Advanced knowledge of PLC programming and HMI systems
  • Experience with automated controls, electronics, and robotics
  • Knowledge of fiber optic sensors, pneumatic, and hydraulic controls
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • PLC, HMI, or DCS certifications
  • Instrument calibration experience
  • HART communication experience
  • CMMS software experience
