About the role
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and shape wood or other materials according to specifications for framing, trim, cabinetry, etc.
- Install and assemble framing components, including walls, floors, and roofs
- Apply drywall and plaster and perform finishing work such as sanding, priming, and painting
- Install windows, doors, cabinets, and molding
Requirements
- Proven experience as a skilled laborer in framing and finish work
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents
- Excellent measurement and carpentry skills
- Ability to operate and maintain power tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Physical strength and stamina to perform manual labor tasks
