Skilled Laborer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up punch press machines according to production requirements
• Load materials into machines and ensure proper alignment and calibration
• Apply fire-resistant caulking to designated areas to maintain fire barriers
• Conduct routine maintenance and cleaning of punch press machines
• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Maintain accurate records of machine settings, production runs, and maintenance activities

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience with punch press machines or in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience with fire caulking or knowledge of fire safety codes highly desirable
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and machine operation
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and blueprints
• Proficiency in using measurement tools and gauges
• Ability to lift and move materials and stand for extended periods
