Site Structural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review structural shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and structural calculations for compliance with project specifications and international standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections for structural activities including shoring, piling, foundations, columns, slabs, shear walls, and core structures.
• Verify reinforcement, formwork, concrete works, and structural steel elements against approved drawings.
• Issue and follow up on NCRs, SORs, and site observations.
• Coordinate with designers, contractors, and other disciplines to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports regarding progress, quality, and compliance.
• Ensure adherence to Dubai Municipality, DDA/Trakhees, Civil Defense, and project HSE requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Mandatory experience working in a consultancy role.
• Minimum of 12 years of structural engineering experience, with at least 5 years specifically in Dubai.
• Strong background in high-rise residential or hotel projects.
• Proven experience in structural submittals review and site structural inspections.
• Excellent knowledge of Dubai Building Code (DBC), ACI, BS, and relevant international standards.
• Proficiency in CAD, Revit, and structural design programs.
• Strong communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
