Site Specialist

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement sports and play-based programming during recess, in school, and after school hours at two public elementary schools
• Create a fun and safe recess environment by organizing and leading games and activities
• Lead structured classroom-based play sessions to teach cooperation, confidence, and conflict resolution
• Facilitate a leadership development program for 4th- and 5th-grade students
• Maintain communication between Playworks staff, school staff, teachers, families, and volunteers
• Collect and maintain administrative paperwork, including schedules and timesheets
• Design program schedules and communicate logistics with school administration
• Support regional team with programmatic learning and corporate engagement delivery

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working directly with small and large groups of children
• Extensive knowledge of youth development principles and practices
• Experience working collaboratively with adults and facilitating adult trainings
• Proven organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
• Experience interacting with diverse communities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and virtual meeting platforms like Zoom or Google Meets
• Ability to travel to various locations and a valid driver's license with insurance
