Site SHE Facilitator

Responsibilities

• Compile and revise SHE standards and procedures to ensure compliance with Unilever standards
• Maintain databases for standard operating procedures, legislation, and remedial actions from audits and inspections
• Manage the site’s central database of all statutory records
• Participate in safety inspections, HAZOP studies, and Management of Change discussions
• Interpret SHE legal requirements and formulate legal appointments in accordance with the OHS Act
• Develop site emergency plans and conduct personnel training for emergency exercises
• Present SHE training and awareness programs, including safety inductions
• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of monthly and quarterly SHE performance KPIs
• Manage contractor SHE compliance and follow up on non-conformances
• Drive the identification and implementation of preventative measures against health and safety hazards

Requirements

• BTech in Engineering, Safety, or Environmental Sciences
• 3-5 years of experience in an Engineering Trade
• Strong knowledge of the OHS Act and the Compensation for Occupational Injury and Disease Act (COID)
• Valid certificates in First Aid, Fire Fighting, and Loss Control
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and SAP

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven problem-solving and facilitation skills
• Strong planning and time management capabilities
• Experience conducting internal departmental SHE audits and environmental surveys
