Site Safety Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary safety representative for assigned data center project sites, maintaining a strong daily field presence.
• Lead daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning reviews (PTP/JHA).
• Ensure site compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable industry standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and behavioral observations to identify hazards and implement preventive measures.
• Review and authorize high-risk work procedures, including LOTO, energized work, and confined space entry.
• Lead on-site incident response, including scene control and root-cause investigations.
• Provide coaching and on-the-spot training to technicians and contractors to champion a proactive safety culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of safety experience in construction, data centers, industrial, or technical installation environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926, OSHA 1910, and NFPA 70E.
• Demonstrated experience conducting field inspections and implementing corrective actions.
• Ability to manage safety programs in multi-contractor, fast-paced environments.
• Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data center construction or complex technical installation projects.
• Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, CHST, CSP, or ASP.
• Experience with incident investigation methodologies (e.g., 5-Why, TapRooT®, Fishbone).
• Familiarity with digital safety management systems and reporting tools like Origami.
