Site Safety & Health Officer

Responsibilities

• Implement the company’s health and safety program
• Conduct safety training, meetings, and inspections
• Supervise safety for all field activities and subcontractor trades
• Develop and implement site-specific Accident Prevention Plans (APP) and Environmental Protection Plans (EPP)
• Perform daily safety inspections and prepare detailed reports
• Coordinate with subcontractors on activity hazard analysis (AHA)
• Enforce all regulatory, base, and company-specific safety rules
• Maintain authority to stop work for adverse safety or quality conditions

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3–5 years of recent experience as an SSHO on federal construction renovation projects
• Thorough knowledge of EM 385-1-1
• Familiarity with 29 CFR 1910 and 29 CFR 1926
• 30-hour and 10-hour Construction Safety certificates
• 8-hour OSHA Supervisor training certificate
• CPR – First Aid certification
• Valid Driver’s License (REAL ID compliant)
• Ability to obtain and hold general clearance for military installations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous asbestos abatement experience
