Site Safety and Health Officer

Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and other applicable safety regulations
• Act as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) for the project
• Conduct regular site safety audits, inspections, and hazard analyses
• Develop and maintain Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
• Provide safety training, toolbox talks, and briefings to on-site personnel
• Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and safety violations
• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and military personnel
• Maintain accurate safety records and reports

Requirements

• Active CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification
• At least 10 years in construction safety
• Previous SSHO and EM 385 experience
• Ability to pass a DBIDs background check
