About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and other applicable safety regulations
- Act as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) for the project
- Conduct regular site safety audits, inspections, and hazard analyses
- Develop and maintain Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs)
- Provide safety training, toolbox talks, and briefings to on-site personnel
- Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and safety violations
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and military personnel
- Maintain accurate safety records and reports
Requirements
- Active CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification
- At least 10 years in construction safety
- Previous SSHO and EM 385 experience
- Ability to pass a DBIDs background check
