Site Safety and Environmental Officer

Responsibilities

• Lead Environmental, Safety, Health & Asset (ESHA) activities at the Broussard and Reserve sites to ensure compliance with local regulations and Clariant guidelines.
• Maintain Safety and Environmental compliance for Offshore Oil Services employees, including managing contractor platforms like ISNetworld and Avetta.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve ESHA performance and drive continuous improvement across sites.
• Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensure timely completion of audit action items.
• Implement and maintain risk management programs, including Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plans (RMP).
• Build relationships with local regulators to secure and maintain air, water, and waste permits.
• Lead the Local Emergency Management team and support preparedness activities.
• Coordinate and report on sustainability projects and regional environmental metrics.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a petrochemical or chemical manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of experience with varied ESH (Environmental, Safety, and Health) responsibilities.
• 3+ years of experience in PSM (Process Safety Management) and/or Safety.
