Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Intern

Responsibilities

• Assist in detecting and responding to system issues and help document incident reports and post-mortems
• Support application deployment and stability by collaborating with development and operations teams
• Contribute to automating routine tasks and writing scripts or tools to improve efficiency and system reliability
• Help implement and improve monitoring systems and build dashboards to visualize system health
• Learn about disaster recovery planning, performance optimization, and support documentation efforts
• Participate in system design discussions, capacity planning, and team brainstorming sessions
• Communicate regularly with pan-Canadian stakeholders

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related field
• Strong interest in infrastructure, automation, and system reliability
• Understanding of DevOps concepts and tools such as Terraform or observability platforms
• Experience with scripting in Python, Bash, or similar languages
• Strong initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
