Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health and availability of the Reconeyez platform by monitoring system health and responding to alerts.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to manage incident response and resolution.
• Build and automate infrastructure and development tools using Git-based workflows and containerization.
• Manage and improve observability through tools like Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, and OpenTelemetry.
• Perform log analysis and troubleshooting to identify root causes and prevent recurring issues.
• Maintain PostgreSQL databases, including backups, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Implement security best practices, including container image scanning and access control.

Requirements

• Solid experience with Linux systems administration and terminal proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with Docker or Podman for managing containerized services.
• Working knowledge of monitoring tools such as Grafana, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and modern observability standards.
• Experience with log analysis, troubleshooting, and correlating events across services.
• Proficiency with Git-based workflows and PR-based operations.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Fluency in both English and Estonian.
• Ability to remain calm and methodical under pressure during incidents.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Elasticsearch or similar log aggregation platforms.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Ansible, Salt, or Terraform.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, firewalls, and load balancers.
• Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure and model-serving endpoints.
• Experience with PostgreSQL administration and performance tuning.
