Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate monitoring solutions into the software development lifecycle.
• Design and implement redundancy, failover mechanisms, and load-balancing strategies to ensure system reliability.
• Define and drive efforts to improve monitoring, troubleshooting, and self-healing capabilities for services.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential points of failure in the infrastructure.
• Respond to on-call incidents and take decisive action to mitigate outages.
• Manage capacity requirements within a rapidly growing environment.
• Work directly with various teams' codebases to extend observability and improve uptime.

Requirements

• 6+ years of proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (CentOS, RedHat, etc.).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or Java.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with configuration management and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a diverse, globally distributed team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with containerization using Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with distributed logging and message queuing systems like Kafka or ELK stack.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or Zabbix.
• Experience with GitOps and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., ArgoCD, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
• Deep understanding of SRE principles, fundamentals, and the DevOps lifecycle.
• Familiarity with AI and LLM technologies.
