Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Work closely with engineering and development teams to design, build, and maintain systems
• Troubleshoot issues across the entire stack including hardware, software, application, and network
• Identify and drive opportunities to improve platform automation for deployment and management
• Proactively identify and address systems reliability risks
• Represent the RPE organization during design reviews and operational readiness exercises
• Work alongside global team members on a follow-the-sun basis and participate in on-call rotations

Requirements

• Background in Computer Science (B.Sc.) or equivalent practical experience
• Mandatory experience with Kubernetes and containerized application management
• Experience with automation using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Perl
• Experience supporting three-tier architectures including UNIX/Linux and databases (e.g., IBM DB2, Sybase, MongoDB)
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools and repositories such as Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, and Docker
• Experience with data streaming technologies like Spark or Kafka
• Hands-on experience with enterprise monitoring tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics
• Deep understanding of OS-level concepts including processes, memory allocation, and the network stack
