Responsibilities

  • Own reliability and production safety for core shared services and customer-facing systems
  • Partner with infrastructure leadership to define SRE priorities, reliability standards, and production safety roadmap
  • Repair and improve production system structure for stability, resource efficiency, and observability
  • Introduce and champion modern SRE practices such as incident response, postmortems, and SLIs/SLOs
  • Collaborate with leverage engineering and applied AI teams to ensure sustainable growth
  • Represent SRE best practices internally to help teams onboard onto production safely and scalably

Requirements

  • 5+ years of SRE experience (15+ years overall experience preferred)
  • Experience doing true SRE work across multiple roles or companies
  • Deep familiarity with Google-style SRE practices including error budgets and reliability vs. risk trade-offs
  • Proven success operating large-scale distributed production environments
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to drive cultural change around reliability
  • Ability to work in high-intensity, high-availability environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a founding SRE or early SRE hire standing up practices from scratch
  • Hands-on experience in the AWS ecosystem
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Proficiency with modern IaC tooling such as Terraform or Spacelift
