Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Keep user-facing services and production systems reliable, scalable, and efficient
• Build automation and tooling to reduce toil and replace manual work with infrastructure-as-code workflows
• Operate and troubleshoot production systems on Kubernetes, including deployments, rollouts, and scaling
• Write and maintain infrastructure as code, shipping changes safely through CI/CD and GitOps
• Participate in on-call rotations, triage alerts, and improve runbooks
• Contribute to the observability stack using metrics, logs, and SLOs to detect symptoms early
• Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement

Requirements

• Experience operating production systems at scale with an operations and software engineering mindset
• Proficiency with infrastructure as code and the Kubernetes ecosystem
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP or AWS)
• Ability to read, debug, and reason about code, specifically in Go or Ruby
• Experience with observability practices including metrics, logging, alerting, and SLOs/SLIs
• Comfort participating in on-call and incident response under pressure
• Strong written communication skills for working in an asynchronous, distributed environment
