Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build and operate the platform services run on, including GKE clusters and Terraform-defined cloud infrastructure
• Own the CI/CD, GitOps, and progressive-delivery patterns from commit to production
• Strengthen the networking and routing layer, including traffic management, firewalls, and network policies
• Govern access and guardrails through IAM and policy-as-code
• Grow reliability and observability via alert hygiene, runbooks, SLOs, metrics, and tracing
• Enable product teams by driving production readiness standards and documentation

Requirements

• Strong Kubernetes fundamentals (controllers, core components, CNI, and networking)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and delivery (Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD)
• Knowledge of networking and access (VPC, firewalls, network-policy, and IAM)
• Operational depth in monitoring, distributed systems troubleshooting, and Unix/Linux
• Agentic development mindset using AI agents to add leverage
• Strong collaboration skills for large, cross-cutting projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with GCP and observability stacks like Prometheus, Thanos, and Grafana
• Experience running containerized platforms at scale
• Service mesh experience (Cilium eBPF, Linkerd, or Istio)
• Familiarity with platform building blocks like cert-manager, external-secrets, or external-dns
