Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of systems and services through proactive monitoring, maintenance, and capacity planning.
• Resolve, analyze, and respond to system outages and disruptions, implementing measures to prevent recurrence.
• Develop tools and scripts to automate operational processes, reducing manual workload and increasing system resilience.
• Monitor and optimize system performance and resource usage to identify and address bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate reliability, scalability, and performance best practices into the software development lifecycle.
• Drive reliability best practices across engineering teams and embed SRE principles into the DevSecOps lifecycle.

Requirements

• Experience designing, implementing, and running highly available, fault-tolerant, auto-scaling, and auto-healing systems.
• Extensive expertise with AWS (essential), including Kubernetes and ECS.
• Experience implementing continuous delivery for large-scale, distributed, cloud-based microservices and API solutions.
• Proficiency in coding with Python and Bash.
• Experience with Configuration as Code using JSON and YAML.
• Proven ability to manage disaster recovery and zero-downtime solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure or GCP.
• Experience with Fargate, GCE, or serverless architectures.
• Hands-on experience with ForgeRock COTS based IAM solutions (PingGateway, PingAM, PingIDM, PingDS).
• Knowledge of PKI-based self-sovereign identity or open source security implementations.
