Site Reliability Engineer Associate

Responsibilities

• Investigate, debug, and reproduce software issues to provide fixes and workarounds.
• Manage and maintain monitoring systems to report on the status of tools, devices, networks, servers, and databases.
• Handle fault escalation and respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing systems.
• Perform maintenance activities for infrastructure, applications, and data center devices.
• Maintain technical documentation, including WIKI and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Assist in developing business processes and systems to measure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for SLAs.
• Participate in a 24x7 call-out rota and work in a 24x7 environment as required.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in technical application support or site reliability.
• Strong hands-on experience with Linux operating systems.
• Proficiency with SQL Server and Oracle databases.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and the OSI model.
• Experience troubleshooting multithreaded and multi-core/CPU software environments.
• Knowledge of XML, JSON, and RESTful/SOAP APIs.
• Familiarity with ITIL knowledge and incident management processes.
• Experience using IT Service Management (ITSM) tools for logging and monitoring incidents.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of the Utility domain, specifically Head End Systems (HES) or Meter Data Management Systems (MDMS).
• Basic scripting skills in Perl or Bash.
• Understanding of PL/SQL for troubleshooting procedure and package level issues.
