Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deliver highly scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure to power Apple's customer applications and services
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and business leaders to implement new infrastructure solutions
• Implement automation and intelligent monitoring to improve system reliability
• Build automation tools to deliver infrastructure services in a repeatable fashion
• Troubleshoot network, system, and performance issues in production during on-call rotations

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience designing and building resilient, large-scale, low-latency cloud and on-prem infrastructure (Compute, Storage, and Network)
• 5+ years of experience managing Kubernetes using Helm or Kustomize
• 3+ years of experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk, ELK stack, Grafana, Prometheus, or Alertmanager
• 3+ years of experience in Linux Shell Scripting, Python, and Terraform

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud architecture and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using a GitOps model
• Knowledge of networking protocols including DNS, TCP, and HTTP/HTTPS
• Experience with databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or Couchbase, and storage technologies like AWS S3
• Experience deploying and supporting Java applications
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
