Site Reliability Engineer 3 - Network Operations

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of high-availability, fault-tolerant data center network architectures.
• Develop and implement strategies for the continuous improvement of network infrastructure and configuration templates.
• Contribute to long-term network strategy and lead capacity planning initiatives to forecast future requirements.
• Act as the L3 escalation point for complex incidents and outages, leading the on-call engineer team.
• Develop and implement incident response procedures and playbooks.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior network operations engineers.
• Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and implement new technologies and manage key relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in network operations or a related role.
• Expert-level knowledge of routing and switching technologies and security principles.
• Strong scripting and automation skills with proficiency in Python, Go, Shell, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale, enterprise-level networks.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications such as Cisco CCIE or Juniper JNCIE.
• Experience with routing protocols like BGP and OSPF.
• Familiarity with data center technologies such as VXLAN and EVPN.
• Knowledge of firewall technologies (IDS, IPS, WAF, etc.) and network operating systems (Junos, Cisco IOS/XE/XR, etc.).
• Experience with monitoring tools like Telegraf, Grafana, Prometheus, or the ELK stack.
• Experience with cloud networking solutions like Microsoft Azure.
