Site Reliability Engineer 2

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and manage services and packages on Ubuntu Virtual Machines in Azure
• Design and manage Azure components for log storage, management, alerting, and monitoring
• Configure and maintain complex network components including Azure Firewall, Route Tables, Virtual Network Gateways, and Express Route
• Drive automation for all BAU tasks using Terraform, Saltstack, Ansible, and scripting languages
• Set up and manage high-availability services like Mysql and Aerospike
• Implement and manage monitoring solutions using Prometheus, Victoria Metrics, Riemann, and Loki with Grafana visualization
• Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Conduct proactive capacity planning and manage infrastructure components like Nginx, HA Proxy, Docker, and RMQ

Requirements

• Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (VMs, Storage Accounts, CosmosDB, ADX)
• Expert-level knowledge of Azure networking (Firewall, Route Tables, Gateways, Express Route, BGP)
• Expert proficiency in Linux environments, specifically Ubuntu
• Deep expertise in at least one high-level language (Python, Go, or Java)
• Mastery of Shell scripting (Bash)
• Proficiency with Terraform and configuration management tools like Saltstack or Ansible
• Experience with high-availability databases such as Mysql and Aerospike
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Victoria Metrics, and Grafana
• Experience with Nginx, HA Proxy, Docker, and RabbitMQ

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience defining and monitoring SLOs and SLIs
• Experience with Elastic Search and InfluxDB
• Ability to mentor junior engineers
• Experience in cloud resource cost optimization
