Site Readiness Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform incoming inspections of electrical and mechanical equipment including BESS containers, battery racks, inverters, and transformers
• Validate equipment against approved submittals, drawings, and Quality Plans
• Document shipping damage, deviations, and non-conformances, and initiate NCRs
• Inspect equipment installations after mechanical completion to verify workmanship and code compliance
• Conduct detailed inspections on wiring, cable routing, torque, labeling, and grounding
• Maintain thorough inspection reports, punch lists, and photographic documentation
• Collaborate with construction teams, commissioning engineers, and EPC partners to resolve field quality issues

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in power plants, utility-scale solar, BESS, high-voltage electrical, or data centers
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, one-lines, and installation manuals
• Experience performing field inspections or construction quality control
• Willingness to travel over 80% to project sites nationwide
• Understanding of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, UL, and ISO/IEC standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in QA/QC, commissioning, or field service roles
• Familiarity with BESS architectures, MV equipment, and SCADA/telecom cabinets
• Certifications such as NETA, AWS CWI, ISO 9001 auditor, or OSHA 30
