About the role

Responsibilities

  • Control the site Quality Management System (QMS) and advise on all aspects of quality
  • Lead internal auditing and deliver technical and quality audits on-site or at other locations
  • Maintain and monitor Quality Control (QC) records and manage internal/external QC sample results
  • Manage equipment records in ALimS+, ensuring correct recording, labelling, and calibration
  • Manage QC/proficiency testing failures and internal non-conformances in line with Group procedures
  • Support investigations into anomalies and complaints alongside Laboratory Management
  • Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), including effectiveness checks
  • Support validation processes and host client or regulatory visits
  • Deliver quality-related training to staff as required

Requirements

  • Degree in Science, Food Sciences, or a qualification in Quality Management
  • Strong working knowledge of laboratory quality systems and BS EN ISO 17025:2017
  • Experience controlling and maintaining a QMS in a laboratory or technical environment
  • Proven internal auditing experience with the ability to manage non-conformances
  • Excellent technical writing and reporting skills
  • High attention to detail and a methodical, process-driven approach
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and influence across teams
