Site Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Validate execution of Quality Systems requirements, including Voice of Customer (VOC) and design quality metrics
• Monitor progress toward quality goals through global process assessments
• Facilitate rapid containment of manufacturing issues and implement robust countermeasures
• Lead weekly quality reviews for product lines to solve top manufacturing controllable defects
• Partner with Red X personnel to perform root cause analysis on internal and external defects
• Provide direct, constructive feedback to plant staff and mentor junior employees
• Manage quality projects and implement process control requirements as requested by the Quality Manager

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3+ years of experience specifically in quality engineering
• Red X training
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, Global Manufacturing Systems, and Built In Quality (BIQ)
• High level of analytical ability and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shifts
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency and knowledge of the elements of the GM Quality System and GMS BIQ
• Deep understanding of the requirements within the Global Quality Manual
