About the role

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned customers regarding all external quality complaints (Customer, Resident, warranty).
  • Manage the RMA process, including creation, control, follow-up, and coordination with the finance department.
  • Ensure Customer Specific Requirements are met and monitor performance through established KPIs.
  • Lead and manage resident engineers and third-party companies both internally and at customer assembly plants.
  • Drive a zero-defect philosophy by defining preventive actions and implementing continuous improvement through Kaizen methodology.
  • Manage customer visits and audits focused on productive areas.
  • Ensure Customer PPAP approval or interim/deviation approval for all assigned products.
  • Update Control Plans and quality documentation in response to customer concerns or required changes.
  • Develop, document, and train personnel on inspection criteria, visual aids, and first-piece checklists.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience preferred.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Extensive experience in the automotive industry, specifically as a Tier 1 supplier.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO/TS 16949.
  • Proficiency with automotive core tools: APQP, PFMEA, PPAP, SPC, and MSA.
  • Experience with customer-specific requirements (e.g., Ford, Tesla, FCA, VW, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, GM, or BRP).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of VDA 6.3 standards.
  • Experience with Q1 quality standards.
