About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure fulfillment of quality requirements on-site according to contracts, Andritz quality processes, and installation/commissioning manuals
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customer site representatives regarding quality topics
  • Monitor the performance of the quality system on-site and represent Andritz interests with a full-time presence
  • Perform look-ahead planning by reviewing upcoming work to ensure inspections are planned with appropriate resources and tools
  • Coordinate and perform site inspections and tests, including reporting and closing non-conformities
  • Prepare and consolidate site quality records, documentation, and final quality packages
  • Audit the conformity of welders' and NDT inspectors' qualifications
  • Manage the control of drawings, installation manual revisions, and calibration of measuring equipment on-site

Requirements

  • BS degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Material Science) OR High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of industrial construction experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the hydropower industry or equivalent industrial construction environment
  • Technical experience with NDT/NDE (Non-Destructive Testing/Evaluation)
  • Working knowledge of ASME and AWS Codes
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite for reporting and correspondence
  • Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges

Preferred Qualifications

  • CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification
  • Ability to pass Level 2 certification in RT, UT, PT, and/or MT
  • Experience with laser metrology for machined parts
