Site Process Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Process Safety Management (PSM) strategy at the Brimsdown site.
• Ensure compliance with COMAH regulations, local process safety legislation, and company standards.
• Lead and support process safety risk assessments, including HAZOP, bowtie development, and LOPA.
• Manage change activities and investigate process safety incidents or near misses to provide practical recommendations.
• Verify risk reduction and mitigation actions through regular audits and assurance activities.
• Provide process safety expertise, guidance, and training to employees and contractors.

Requirements

• Engineering degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or EC&I disciplines.
• Experience working within a process or manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of PSM systems and regulatory frameworks, ideally within a COMAH site.
• Proven experience leading or facilitating risk assessments (HAZOP, bowtie, LOPA) and management of change processes.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Applicants must be non-smokers and have been free from nicotine products for at least 3 months.
