Site Paint Process Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead paint process development to achieve expected quality levels in line with OEM specifications
• Ensure cost targets are met through optimization of paint consumption, scrap rates, and productivity
• Coordinate and technically lead a team of process engineers and robot programmers within the paint line
• Support the industrialization phase up to serial production readiness using APQP logic
• Analyze process deviations, define corrective actions, and ensure sustainable implementation
• Lead paint supplier activities and manage the integration of new materials
• Ensure full compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Process Engineering, or a comparable field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in painting, chemistry, or process engineering within the automotive industry
• Strong understanding of industrial painting processes (e.g., wet paint, powder coating, pretreatment)
• Proven experience working with OEM requirements and quality standards
• Fluent in English
• Structured, autonomous, and solution-oriented working style

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation or robot programming
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, APQP, FMEA, or Six Sigma
• Experience in international project environments
• Strong affinity for production environments and shopfloor operations
