Site Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee Site Operations including power, cooling, networking, and hardware deployments to ensure 99.999% uptime
• Lead and develop a team of Data Center Operations Technicians through training and performance evaluations
• Manage hardware lifecycles, incident resolution, and inventory management
• Coordinate between technicians, AI specialists, and external vendors to integrate new technology
• Champion energy-efficient practices and sustainability efforts to optimize resources
• Track and report key metrics such as uptime, power efficiency, and issue resolution times
• Lead the team through urgent situations and emergency resolutions
• Build and refine processes including preventative maintenance schedules and Jira ticket workflows

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data center operations or similar critical environments
• 3+ years of experience managing technical teams
• Expertise in server hardware, cabling, and data center technologies
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with occasional on-call duties
• Willingness to travel to data center locations as needed
• Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and use ladders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting compute-heavy environments like AI, ML, or HPC
• Proficiency with Jira and collaborative workflows
• Strong analytical skills and ability to explain technical concepts
• Familiarity with scripting such as Python or Bash for automation
• History of partnering with vendors and scaling operations
