Site Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead daily facility operations including maintenance, janitorial, security, and support services
• Supervise and develop onsite staff through scheduling, training, and performance management
• Oversee building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and repairs
• Manage health, safety, and regulatory compliance to ensure a safe work environment
• Coordinate vendors and subcontractors to ensure performance and contract compliance
• Develop and manage operational budgets and control costs
• Maintain strong client relationships as the primary point of contact for site matters

Requirements

• 5–10 years of progressive experience in facility operations or building management
• Experience managing teams in complex, multi-service environments
• Strong knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, mechanical)
• Demonstrated experience managing vendors and service contracts
• Proficiency with CMMS systems and Microsoft Office tools
• Must be a Canadian Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (10 years continuous residency)

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Facility Management, Engineering, or Trades
• Facilities Management or project management certifications (e.g., FMP, PMP)
• Union management experience
• Experience in contract-based or KPI-driven environments
