Site Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review mechanical design, shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for industrial and commercial projects
• Conduct on-site inspections and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide innovative technical solutions
• Manage and mentor junior engineers and inspectors to foster professional development
• Ensure all works comply with UAE building codes and relevant authority regulations
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other disciplines to maintain project timelines
• Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for project stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Over 12 years of experience, including substantial expertise in engineering consultancy
• Proven track record in on-site supervision and management of mechanical works in construction
• Deep familiarity with UAE local building codes and regulations
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, including heat load and sizing calculations
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, piping, and industrial equipment
• Proficiency in CAD and BIM software
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication abilities
• Willingness to travel to various project sites within the UAE
