Site Manager

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and control Northern Cape site operations including field sampling, inspection, and sample preparation
• Schedule personnel, vehicles, equipment, and tools to meet client requirements
• Manage daily operational performance, productivity, and service quality
• Implement and maintain technical procedures and sampling instructions
• Ensure compliance with SGS policies, QHSE requirements, and South African legislation
• Lead, coach, and monitor staff performance, training, and safety behavior
• Manage site assets, consumables, and controllable site costs
• Build and maintain a client pipeline to support regional growth and revenue
• Conduct client visits and technical engagements to identify new business opportunities

Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12
• Minimum 3 years management or supervisory experience in inspection, sampling, mining, or logistics
• Practical knowledge of bulk commodity sampling and sample preparation
• Experience scheduling staff, vehicles, and site resources
• Valid Code B driver’s licence
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Strong leadership and operational planning skills
• Ability to manage client relationships and business development

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical qualification in sampling, inspection, laboratory, or mineral processing
• SHE / HSE knowledge and practical risk-assessment training
• ISO/IEC 17025 awareness
• Experience in business development and revenue growth
