About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the successful execution of construction and start-up for conventional generation projects
- Direct overall construction efforts, including coordination of erection activities, suppliers, craft labor, and subcontractors
- Manage project budgets and schedules, providing monthly reports on cost, quality, and performance
- Implement project-specific procedures, safety and health protocols, and quality assurance standards
- Establish and maintain high-trust relationships with clients, owners, and alliance partners
- Lead the site management team and mentor site staff to maintain high morale and team building
- Manage change orders, field purchases, equipment rentals, and subcontractor progress payments
- Champion LEAN concepts and continuous improvement efforts on-site
Requirements
- 5+ years of construction management experience with a Bachelor's degree
- OR 8+ years of experience with at least 3 years at a superintendent level or above (if no Bachelor's degree is held)
- Ability to work in a variety of physical conditions, including climbing ladders, working in extreme temperatures, and lifting up to 50 pounds
- Ability to pass pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screens
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in conventional generation construction management with a Bachelor's degree and 3 years as a Site Manager
- OR 15+ years of experience with 5+ years in construction management or 3 years as a Site Manager (if no degree is held)
- Experience with Simple Cycle and Combined Cycle construction
- Experience with Self-Perform/Direct Hire construction models
