About the role
Responsibilities
- Drive the creation of quality, process change, and Lean initiatives to meet and exceed business plans.
- Oversee overall safety, quality, performance, and customer experience for Inbound or Outbound operations.
- Set requirements and expectations for Operations and Area Managers, measuring performance and holding teams accountable.
- Nurture ideas from managers to create functional area improvement plans.
- Ensure best practices are shared across all departments, shifts, and the wider network.
- Partner with HR, Finance, Facilities, Safety, and IT to secure resources for site projects and initiatives.
- Manage budgetary, people development, and operational objectives for the site.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement.
- Knowledge of Lean techniques.
- Experience with the full staffing lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, and terminations.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of direct management experience, including a salaried workforce, in manufacturing, production, or distribution.
- Experience working with changing priorities and schedules.
- Experience leading large contingent workforce programs.
- Degree in Engineering, Operations, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Interest in long-term career development through assignments in multiple Fulfillment Centers.
