Site HSE Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and apply local, national, and international HSE legislation and regulations.
• Deploy Group and site HSE policies, objectives, and continuous improvement programs.
• Anticipate and assess HSE impacts of planned changes to products, processes, or installations.
• Investigate accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents to define corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct regular inspections, HSE visits, and participate in internal/external audits.
• Provide HSE expertise, training, and guidance to employees and subcontractors.
• Manage HSE reporting, KPIs, and the site HSE Management System.
• Engage with public authorities and local communities on HSE matters.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE experience, ideally within the chemical or materials industry.
• Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, specifically ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Proven experience leading Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) sessions.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional HSE certification such as NEBOSH or IOSH.
