About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering maintenance and projects, including utilities, production lines, and processing plants to drive factory performance.
  • Deploy the Professional Maintenance pillar within the Unilever Manufacturing System (UMS) to drive asset reliability and cost efficiency.
  • Manage technical and maintenance teams responsible for infrastructure, site services, and innovation implementation.
  • Drive the execution of approved capital projects from design and budget creation through to closure.
  • Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and legal compliance across all engineering and contractor activities.
  • Implement continuous improvement and TPM methodologies to eliminate losses and improve equipment efficiency (MTBF, MTTR).
  • Develop and implement plans to improve site infrastructure, including energy, water, and steam systems.
  • Coach and develop engineering and technical teams, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture.

Requirements

  • BSC Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical).
  • Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) is essential.
  • 3-5 years of experience in FMCG or Manufacturing operations.
  • Proven experience in project management, including end-to-end execution and budget control.
  • Proficiency in Continuous Improvement, Lean manufacturing, or TPM.
  • Strong leadership experience managing large teams, stakeholders, and third-party contractors.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in FMCG Supply Chain functions such as Planning, Logistics, or Process engineering.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to contextualize engineering decisions within wider business priorities.
