Site Engineer

Responsibilities

• Act as the main technical advisor on construction sites for contractors and subcontractors
• Coordinate with clients, sub-consultants, and vendors to ensure alignment with quality standards
• Manage sub-contractor hiring, scope, and on-site performance
• Perform regular site visits to monitor progress and resolve technical difficulties
• Research and recommend materials and finishes that align with design concepts and budgets
• Assist in procurement by obtaining quotations and requesting physical samples for approval
• Collaborate with designers to produce accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
• Support Project Managers in tracking schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
• Enforce compliance with health and safety policies during the implementation phase
• Prepare project progress reports, contracts, and technical documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Civil Engineering
• 4-6 years of experience in site supervision and technical office duties
• Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, and suppliers within the Egyptian market
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office (specifically Excel for BOQs)
• Proven ability to produce and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs)
• Strong negotiation skills with vendors and subcontractors

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar
